    A Painful Lesson

I'm in the process of learning a painful lesson, i.e., don't talk politics with family members of a different persuasion. All I can do is wonder how/why it happened.

Yep. That's what I was told at an early age. Do not talk about politics or religion in mixed company or at work.
And if you have nothing nice to say, then don't say it.....
My Mom worked at the local hospital 30 some years. Nurse's Aide, Unit Secretary, and even done in the IT Dept.
She has thousands of friends. She helped train thousands of nurses. All my sister's friends are nurses.

If these relatives are at your house, talk about what you want. Thatís house rules.

My Dad said never talk politics or religion, and don't marry a woman with broad shoulders - they'll "work you over "
