    QuickLoad anybody??

If someone's willing to run the numbers I'd like to check the calculated velocity difference of increasing freebore.....

    6X47 Lapua (45-ish grain case)
    108gr bullet with
    40.00gr of H4350

    .000 freebore= x velocity?
    VS
    .150 freebore= x velocity?

    tx

ql does not have a CHAMBER variable.
just a data bank of bbls used with "common" twists.
is it really free bore or a COAL ISSUE

Ohh..... I've never used QL nor even seen it but I assumed it realized that while a 22-250 and a 22BR can achieve similar velocities with similar bullets the pressure curves are different.

Why would it include twist rates?

I don't understand your question about "free bore or COAL" but I've 4 different 6X47L reamers built between 2003 and 2008, all with .000 included freebore and I've years worth of data as per how each reamer varies subtly in powder charge/velocity as I throat chambers to fit different applications. I've just now gotten some unexpected results from throating out a couple of older barrels for use in a prototype setup and am trying to sort where the discrepancy lies.

was it just about free bore, or were you loading them longer

All loads are based on jamset, well into the lands so YES the cartridges are loaded longer by the amount of freebore I've added in. When I add .150 freebore the case capacity is increased by that amount which drops pressure/velocity significantly..... ie it takes quite a bit more powder to get my velocity back.

if you want pm me what you have if you do not want to post your loads, and then what you want to see/guess at.
    bullet/oal/bbl length/powder/case volume if known.
known velocity with a known load as a base, same data
