    That reamer can be set back and there will be room for a larger base. I had m Beggs reamer done a couple of years ago. No big deal. Cheaper and quicker than a new one.

    I recently ordered a 6.5 Creedmoor reamer (I know, I know, I swallowed my gorge..... IT IS still an awesome cartridge!!) and of course I fat-butted it.

    Even with the reamer opened up an extra 4 thou at the back it's only got 8 and a half thou taper per inch!!! So.... even this one would work to re-grind but you'd have to stuff it nearly a quarter inch deeper....... All's I'm saying is, with more modern case designs it's harder to stuff it in and pick up a couple thou.
