barrel block

a friend has a 22 rim fire.it has two barrel block holding it to stock two cap srews per block.what are the tork recomendations to hold all this together?

i think more data is required,
but the simple answer is
what ever makes it shoot best ?

the barrel is 1.25 diamiter for full length.is about 26 in. long. has a m 37 reminton action that is not touching bedding.stock is walnut .thats about all i can see about this rifle.

my 67a is 27" and my 52c is 28" both from the 50's

Maybe those old long barrels were used because of iron sights and before the use of bloop tubes for adding sight radius.

or maybe they shot well.
scope bases drilled and tapped as delivered
suggest you do a value search on the win 52/a/b/c.

In today's rimfire benchrest world, 24" to 27" barrels are the norm. Of course 1.25" diameter is not.
