    Seems that I read somewhere that it helps to oil the sawdust !!

    A friend had this method . He had a 1/2" steel plate angled 45 degrees to the approach of the bullet and at impact it was deflected downward onto the sawdust..Worked very very well.

    gee some how i am guessing EVERY bullet was DAMAGED.
    object is to collect undamaged, fired bullets.

    A friend used Linters a by product from cotton for catching lead and tin bullets. The extensive testing he was doing at the time also required that the bullets could not to be deformed while being trapped.
