    Absolutely

I got to where I couldn't see the flags with my left eye. They did both eyes and I got basically 20-20 vision in both eyes now. You will need to wear sunglasses more after but that's some of what...

    I noticed

the two rifles that won the grand aggs @ Vermont both sported Goodling tuners. Neither had snubbers that I could see, just barrel weights.

    Discontinuing using the recoil lug?

I recently bought a Rattler action HBR rifle. It currently has a recoil lug installed. The rifle is chambered for 30 BR. I have had a number of rifles chambered in 30 BR and none of them had a recoil...

    Too Time consuming for me

I need to do volume, 200 to 300 cases at a time so I wouldn't want to spend the time doping them with that tool, thanks all the same.

    Thanks

I have been using .006" for years when I can. Some barrels want more but mostly 6 thou has worked well. I'll try 34.8 and see if it my guns like it. Thanks for the input. I am shooting the 118-7's...

    Not my style

I gave up on Speed a long time ago. I shoot 34.4, 6" thou in. They go into the same bullet hole. I find this node stays in tune most of the time and with only 6 thou in, I can open the bolt without...

    As it turned out

the amount I turned off was enough so that I don't loose the body grip anymore so I'm all set!

    I had to go to

another brand of bullet recently because I ran out of my 118's and am waiting for more but the new supplier's bullets seat OK. I suspect they may be 8 ogive or the like. I still would prefer to size...

    Yes, a BR die

118 BIB's are long enough to go past the sized portion and what I have been shooting.

    One winter

I loaded a bunch of rounds up and took them with me to Florida. Back then, I had a friend who had a second home in an exclusive community that were Shooters, Equestrians, Flyers and some who just...

    Thanks Al

some great ideas. Are those dies just case hardened or did you have to hard turn them the whole way?

    Not really

I have two of them dies and they both only size the necks about half way down so obviously there is meat above the shoulder junction, quite a lot , actually; half the neck worth :).

    Exactly

got in .015" The top of the die isn't as hard as the body, which doesn't make a lot of sense. I guess I turned .012" off the top so the cap would hold the bushing down. Looked to me like there was...

    Hard Turning?

Tried to sink the hole where the sizing bushing sits in my Harrell's Die today and found it harder than, well, one can only imagine. Was able to get .015" but I'm sure I trashed the carbide boring...

    I didn't single him out

The Buckys tuner is a beyond the muzzle tuner and heavy as well as the Goodling but the weight of the Goodling tuners vary. I'v seen small ones of them on HBR barrels.

    All tuners work. It's just...

    I think

Lighter tuners are the right way to go. I've watched John Cascarino tune his rifle on the fly with his Beggs tuner and win the match, easy peasy.
We have been using 3 OZ or less for years to tune...

    The Citrus

is a big part of this but the detergent they use along with it is a big part as well. I find these formulas way ahead of distilled stuff of any kind I have ever used. From what I have seen, they are...

It becomes a matter of what one wants. I want to spend as little time as possible cleaning so I continue to look for instant cleaning without much process to it or mixture of things. I want it done...

    Accuracy

is a subjective thing. In the case of Score shooters, it depends on how big the x is as to how accurate one needs their rifle to be. Most Benchrest barrels need to be reasonably clean to hit tiny...

    Barrel Cleaners

I have been on a quest for a few years now to find a chemical product that will lift carbon from barrels quickly and thoroughly. I believe I am getting closer. I tried Patchout a few months ago now...

I bought some Patch Out to try a couple of years ago and find it works the very best in everything. It appears to be a detergent with citric acid in it but it is fast and effective. The instructions...

I was new and adventurous back then

I had bought an old 30 BR VFS rifle and was looking for SPEED, back when I thought it was the answer. Good the barrel wasn't terribly tight :)
