Thanks, guys.
I probably erred in my title to this thread. I should have referred to FFP or SFP directly, because that is really the crux of the question.

I'm looking at a 4.5-30 LRS Bushnell for small bore bench shooting at 100-200 yards. It is a SFP mildot reticle.
Anyone have any thoughts on advantages of the FFP over the SFP in benchrest...
Thanks guys...I'll post my targets from the matches that I shoot this in
I had fired it some with the sights a few years ago. I got it out and mounted the Lyman scope and took it to the match, thinking I would shoot it after the match. I had a problem with my Winchester...
Yep, I think it has an old school charm with the Lyman external adjustment type scope. I was surprised how well the set up holds zero
Years ago I won a Mk V at an estate auction. It came with sights, but after shooting it a few times I put it away and never fired it much.

Thanks, glp. I'll be on the lookout for that extractor ring. Not sure who Gary Long is.
I'm sure you are right. Thanks, Mort
Thanks for the feedback, guys!
I'll post anything else I find out about this rifle, Mort. I sent some pictures and an email to Hart Barrels and asked if they could identify the rifle. I know they are probably busy, but a few years...
I bet he is right!
Boy, if I could get my old stock to look that good I would refinish it.
Nice work, KC
I'm not able to take the rifle out of the stock at this time, but I was looking over the trigger and found two additional screws behind the trigger blade. Including the one in front of the trigger...
I got a few better pictures of the action.

Interesting all of the Model 722's I've seen are marked like this one

Yeah, I can't fathom why there is no model number on the receiver.
Are there any areas of the gun that I can post better pics of that might assist in ID'ing this rifle?
A few years back I glommed this rifle at an auction. It was described as a "custom" Remington rifle and it is surely that. What I would like to know is what exactly it is. It appears to to be a...
Thanks, Eidolon! I'll post some range reports.
That is a challenge.
I have a 42x and shoot a usbr target (the 10 ring is 0.099) and you need to be able to hold off to the edge of that ring at times. Works for me[/QUOTE]
Damn...what distance is that match shot at?
Thanks, rs!
The metal is in great shape and the stock is solid, but pretty beat up (it's a former US property rifle), but I have a replacement in much better shape...

I took your encouragement and the arrival of my mounting hardware today from EGW as a sign and went ahead and mounted it.

I recently started shooting a 50 and 100 yard .22 rifle match at the local range. I've used a 6-24 scope, set for 24 at the match with my Winchester 52. I've got a Remington 40X that I'm trying to...
Having "issues" with the SPR.
I bought a 20 MOA Winchester SA scope mount from EGW. I mounted the Bushnell Elite Tactical and sighted it in at 200 yards. In preparation for a 1000 yard clinic, I...
