    Totally understand John

As much fun as Luther is, it's better to err on the side of caution. I hope we can shoot somewhere this year!

    I have a really

good bbl on my rail at the moment and will shoot small either running or picking. I made beggs style tuner that weighs 8 oz and it tunes just like the bag guns do. A fellow sent me a tuner to try...

    Hope the original OP

got his questions answered. On to tuners,

This is what I have seen over the years, your results may differ somewhat but would guess by not much.
The tuners tested all showed the same basic tuning...

    Mike,

I'll get back to you. Have to leave for awhile. Sorry for being such a grump, I also have invested a tremendous amount of time with tuners and I know you have to. I think were on the same page with a...

    I am talking to

    you Mike,

When I posted about how you can know with certainty what to do with a tuner you had came back some snide comments about how hard I was making this. And now you come back with the results...

    I almost can't

believe what I'm hearing. I have been preaching and teaching this for the last four years! I had made a post several years ago about being able to turn the tuner and knowing what the result would be....

    Luther,OK match

is still planning on being held on April 18-19th. This is the first leg of the OK 4-gun and will be SP-LV. The match fees are $25 per day for a $50 total for the weekend. John wanted me to give you...

    Your missing the point

first, I meant nothing bad by the backyard range comment. I have Charlene's Meadow just 100 yds away from the shop and test there about every day. If it won't shoot there I am sure not taking it to a...

I can give you a even better

example of running fast making vertical. My rail which has a 1.350 bbl around 21" With a beggs style tuner with a weight of 6 oz you can run fast and shoot small. Shot a .15X agg with this setup last...

    There is no doubt

a palma contour with a 4 to 6 oz tuner has a wider tune window than a Lv-HV coutour. I have tested this a lot and it repeats every time. It all depends on what type of shooter you are. A runner or...

    Glenn, we didn't

get to go. We drove down there and stayed the night and the next morning it was heavy rain. Went out there and the virus stuff has made it almost impossible to do anything so we just came home.

    And I forgot to add

the noon meal was great both days!! The grand finale was blueberry pie made from berries grown right there at the range.
I think the goal was to make us newcomers so fat and sleepy that we didn't...

    Cold would be a

understatement! I think I ran the hotel out of hot water just getting the chill off. It was a lot of fun though getting to visit with the guys. Having never shot there before it was a tough range to...

    I will be there Friday

hopefully mid-morning. Looks like some rain gear might be needed. Having never shot a match there I am looking forward to it.

There are several schools of thought

on ahead of the crown or behind the crown tuners. I won't get into it on this forum:p so PM me if interested.

    A question about

flag poles. Is the ground rocky and hard or good soil. How about height? Just trying to get an idea of what to bring.

    It all depends if your

running a full profile or a partial profile insert. It's really hard to use a full profile without a thread relief.
A partial profile works best but you still have to be quick on the half nuts.

    The plan is to

send 22 qts and 31 pts. I found some plastic totes that will fit that amount about right. I'm trying to make it as easy as possible for Sam to transport them.

Sam Langhoffer will be bringing qt and pt bottles. It's first come first serve so find Sam as it goes away pretty fast!

    Yes, you are right

Lapua or Norma cases with a FITTED die. That's in caps because of the importance if you want good brass life and also not having clicky brass. I can run faster than that with the lapua 3400+ but...

    That's a pretty good

number to run with. I run at 3370 and brass life is good but the main thing is it will agg at that speed.
