Just an FYI. I just listed my Rockwell 11" lathe for sale in the classifieds under Everything Else.
Great lathe, lots of tooling and spare parts. Thanks
Just built a 6 dasher and am trying to get my brass fireformed. I am using the false shoulder method with 30.5 gr Varget, 107 smk and cci 450 primer. I am using Lapua blue box brass and am getting...
Yes, I use brass tipped set screws that I made. What kind of lathe do you have?

I have had great luck with this one from Northern Tool. http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200416894_200416894
It was on sale and got it for around $100. Went from a Miller Elite to...

Did you get it directly from Hawkeye (Gradient Lens)?
Getting ready to call Brunos and order a Hawkeye borescope. Was wondering if the angled eyepiece is worth the extra $$.
Anyone have any input on this? Do you guys use the angled eyepiece often or...
Bought some Lapua brass from them on a few occasions. Never had any problems.
Thanks for all the input everybody. I ended up taking Jackie's advice and using a Grade 8 bolt. Cost me .48 cents, can't beat that.

Getting ready to bush the firing pin hole on my Rem. 700 and am wondering if 4140 be hard enough?

Here are a couple reviews...
I'm not sure you really need to use SS. Here is one I made for my 11" Rockwell with some steel I had laying around. The walls are 5/16". Works great so far.
Good Luck.

Sightron SIII is pretty hard to beat for the money. IMHO
An 11" Rockwell
[QUOTE=lejarretnoir;555368]I built myself or should I say copied a design with mandrel and spider. The only problem with getting it right is that the mandrel end needs some kind of way to pivot the...
Transultex H was my first choice but I can't find it in anything other than 55 gal. drum. Can it be purchased in smaller amounts?
Anyone use Mobilmet 766 to chamber? I ordered 5 gallons of Omega and they sent me 766. Apparently 766 is the replacement for Omega. You can still get Omega but only in 55 gal. drum. So anyone used...
Here's my one and only.

Looks great. That spider chuck is pretty slick.
I am looking to purchase my first lathe and have found a Rockwell 10" x 36" lathe that's in excellent shape with loads of tooling. The only problem is the spindle bore is only 1". My question is...
