    Wilbur,

I can just load them and shoot without doing much to them. The last lot of brass was really uniform on neck thickness and didn't have to turn necks. I like alot of neck clearance anyway so my .270 nk...

Found what I was looking for

A 2000 ct box arrived! No, you can't hammer it like the lapua, but I don't shoot those stratospheric loads anyway.

    Norma 6ppc brass

I was looking in the Brownells website and they say the 6ppc brass is no longer being offered by the factory. I know I can't find any in bulk anywhere. Anybody have any info on this?

    Let's don't turn this

into a group vs score thread. Been enough of that already. I shoot group, but I enjoy score shooting at a local club once in awhile.

Pete, I have had some good shooters tell me just that. You have...

    If I have a bbl

with that small of a powder tuning window it won't be going to a match. It's almost impossible to shoot a good agg with something like that. I hate those teaser bbls, they shoot a nice little hole...

    It's actually pretty simple

Some shooters go up on powder to get rid of vertical, some shooters go down on powder to do the same. Both are right. You might ask how that can be. It depends where you are in the tuning node.
    Same...
  8. Charlene's Meadow match dates are approved

    May 1st-2nd
    August 21st-22nd
These are a Friday night-Saturday match

I have opened it up to 24 shooters and it is filling fast. If you want to shoot 300 yds under the lights, have a good evening...
  9. That's just a little

tidbit of what Chet can do. I have seen alot of the dodads that he makes and it's just amazing.

  10. I went to that setup

4 or 5 years ago and wouldn't go back to any other. It allows you to chuck up on the taper of a Rem Varmint coutour with no problems. Straight screws were always a problem on the taper section of a...

    Al,

    Thanks Scott

Your explanation is what I was thinking. I have made 3 weights, one for light wind, one for med and the other for heavy winds. I have been playing with them under varoius conditions, haven't shot...

    What am I missing here?

I thought the probes were for reading the L-R. Butch, what else do I need to be looking at? I have not used probes before so I am open to any suggestions on how to use them.

    Gene Beggs, chime in...

    I took a little different

approach to putting the holes in the cups. I used a piece of .375 SS tubing and turned a slight taper and heated it up until it was glowing a slight red, plunged that through the cup. The hole was...

    Forgot to ask you Jackie,

how long did you make tubing for the cups and do you think there is a "ideal length?
I have never used probes so just not trying to reinvent the wheel.

    Thanks again.

    Ok,

I can do that. I thought about a light press fit with some loc-tite also. I really like the option of taking them apart easy so the threads are probably the way to go.

    The stocker

is who beded and glued the action into the stock. It's an art just like chambering a bbl. Actually probably more so.

Don't try to "bend" the extractor

you will break it. If it's a little tight use a dremel and lightly cut the the extractor where it's hitting on the groove of the case. To make it push feed there has to be a bevel on the front of the...

    Your video tells the story

Your probably about right on the 45 deg. Just relieve at the back of the port and it will work fine.
From the video the ejector timing looks fine. I don't think you need a longer ejector plate.
    On...

    It's a fairly common issue

what I would try first is to put a bevel at the rear of the loading port. That usually takes care of the problem.
You can also add some length to the ejector blade if need be. Not very often have I...

C-Bar cleaning fluid at the Nationals

    Guys,

    4 to 5 oz

is all you need to tune a typical LV-HV bag gun. The Beggs and Loker tuner are very simple in design, easy to install, no POI change with movement, no patches laying in the tuner after cleaning.
