We are currently running the 1.400 long THICK jackets. The problems have been numerous. Broken punches, miss feed causing a crash and TIR issues have caused the greatest delays.

I'd like to say that this is unusual but it's not. Those who have asked us for a production schedule have their reason for why we don't have one. I'd spend more time moving things around a schedule than I would be getting stuff made.

I can assure everyone that it is a top priority to get these jackets made and out of the way for the 1.000 long. Our guys got here at 4:00 am today (Saturday). We have people working on this press through 2:00 am tomorrow. They'll take a break for Sunday (not negotiable) and we'll start all over again 4:00 am Monday morning. No effort is being spared.

The 1.000 long jackets are not made in a "thick" version so no new punches needed.

Regards,
Eric

Eric,
Could we get an update? Did the latest solution work?

Great News!!

The run of 30 cal 1.400 long THICK will finish today. They will start setting up for the 1.000 long either today or tomorrow morning. Historically, the set up time for the shorter jackets is less than longer jackets (it is easier to get the TIR in tolerance with the shorter jackets).

I will post when the 1.000 long are running which should be early next week. Once the press is set up and running we will make all the jackets needed for all those who are waiting in less than one week. Orders will ship out on a first ordered, first shipped basis but they should all ship within days of each other. We are making an excessive quantity of these jackets to ensure that we do not run out again.

For those interested in other short jackets, we will run the 1.000 long first and then go to the .925 long. Then we will finish the short jacket group with the 1.080 and the 1.150.

Regards,
Eric

Press Running

The 1.000 long jackets are being made now. We'll run straight through until 2:00 AM Sunday morning and then start back up again at 4:00 AM Monday morning. Several jacket orders should ship on Monday and Tuesday.

Regards,
Eric
