Wichita Rest - Windage Adjustable Top

I have a Wichita standard rest that has the stationary top (not windage adjustable). I am wanting to purchase a windage adjustable top for the Wichita base and would like opinions on which top would work well. I shot at a local ARA shoot today and finally decided having to constantly move the rear bag to get on the target was really hurting my overall scores and consistency.

Does anyone have experience with Wichita's windage adjustable device? I've heard good and bad about it - am I better off just to buy a new top? (1 piece rests are out of my budget)

I would order a Fudd top from Scott Hamilton. They are nice and have plenty of adjustment. I think you would have to tell him it was for a wichita, as I recall the slot for the clamping screw is rotated 90 deg. from that of a hart or bald eagle. There is nothing bad about your base. They are nice and haevy. You might look in the classifieds for the Fudd top, I have seen a few there lately.
