Unfortunately the weather forecasters were right. We had very challenging conditions - to say the least. We had cool temperatures, intermittent rain, and switchy winds that were blowing over the wind flags (15-25 mph). Despite these conditions some decent scores were shot (I don't understand how).

The top scores were:

Sporter: Edward Longo 247-13, Bill Buskey 247-10, Mel Eck 245-12,
10.5: Gordon Eck 250-19, Edward Longo 250-15, Pete Roberson 249-18
13.5: Pete Roberson 250-17, Bill Buskey 245-15, Edward Longo 245-14

3 Gun Agg: Pete Roberson 743-44, Edward Longo 742-42, Bill Buskey 737-32

UL-1: Paul Vobecky 249-16, Pete Roberson 248-13, Edward Longo 247-11
UL-2: Pete Roberson 249-13, Edward Longo 249-12, Bill Buskey 244-12
UL-3: Pete Roberson 250-15, Edward Longo 249-17, Bill Buskey 246-11

UL Agg: Pete Robeson 747-41, Edward Longo 745-40, Paul Vobecky 738-31

Congrats to all the winners and all those who managed to shoot a 250 in these horrible conditions. Thanks to all who braved the day and came out to our match and thanks to all of you who pitched in and made my day easier.

Gongrats to all the shooters. Sounds like a tough day. With all the high scores shot I was wondering who
was the gunsmith that those high scoring guns?

Gunsmith

Thanx Ray: And thanx to Bill B. For a great match at Wawarsing Ny.
To answer your question, Ray. The Gunsmith responsible for ALL of the winning rifles that day and EVERY other day. Is none other than Our very own... MR. GORDON ECK!!! thank you Gordon! For the Fine work you continue to do for us and the sport of rimfire benchrest. You are without a doubt, the Nations, if not the worlds, Finest Rimfire Gunsmith! Ed Longo.

And thank you Gordon for the takeoff sporter barrel I put on my Rem 581, that kept me from being tail end Charlie on the sporter and 10.5 class. I even managed a string of 10 10s and Xs on the last bulls, after finally figuring out which flags to watch. One patch cleanup, came out light gray, too, after the match. Amazing...:D

Nice going guys ... it was a lousy day and you still managed to meet the conditions.
Pete --- you just keep racking up those aggs!!

Michael
