Hello,

I have an interest in using a BAT SV action for long range varmint hunting but don't see any stocks available.

Anyone commercially make a non benchrest stock without going to a custom stock maker? Do you know of any stock duplicators that have BAT action patterns available? I can handle opening up a barrel channel but making one from scratch is a lot of work.

Thanks..

I would think that McMillan could make you whatever stock you want with a bat foot print. Actually i know they can!! There is another fella that stocks varmint/ sporter stocks made by McMillan that have bat inlets and i cant think for the life of me his name. I have been sitting here for 10 min trying to think of this. This guy makes recoil lugs and all sorts of things. dang-It!! Google McMillan stocks and you might find it. lee

Go to Bruce Baer. He's got hunting stocks available, real nice ones. Or try Richards or even Richards Microfit if you're not in a hurry! All the stocks can be had as a blank and inletted.

Btw, what's wrong with a BR stock on a bipod?

find your self a mcmillian stock you want and order it as a flat top. TM stockworks. tom merideth

Good idea using a mcmillian and having it custom cut on the inside. I will look into all of your suggestions. Thanks for the input. Larry

Just so you fellas know. Tom HATES Flat top stocks. LOL!!! You better figure 150 more bucks right off the top for a flat top if tom is going to do it. Tom does all my Bedding work and he is the king for sure, but do yourself a favor, and Tom and have whatever stock you buy semi inletted for the action you have. it will be cheaper in the long run. I know first hand!! Lee
