Tuners - What am I looking for?

I see there are numerous tuners on the market.

1. What are some of the better ones out there?

2. What should I be looking for in a tuner?

3. What should I stay away from?

Check with Dan Killough at Killough Shooting Sports. He has an assortment to select from and also gives great advice.

From my limited knowledge of tuners, Harrell seems to be one of the most popular. Because it is clamped onto the muzzle, it's easy to install and remove. Check Killough Shooting Sports webpage. They just need to know the barrel diameter so it can be bored to fit. Also, the Harrell is threaded on the end to accept accessory weight if you decide you need them, and you can also thread on other style tuners onto the Harrell. The cost is $150, plus $15 for the boring, plus shipping.

I'm not sure if there is any one type you should stay away from, because some rifles seem to respond better to different types of tuners.

Anyway, that's about the limit of my knowledge. Hope this helps somewhat.
