Tucker Conversion Question

I bought a used Leupold BR-36X scope that has had a Tucker conversion done to it. For some reason I cannot get enough windage adjustment to even get on center of the target, with the scope adjusted all the way to the right I am still out about 2". The scope is mounted on a Remington 40XBBR using Kelby rings and bases. Is it possible that the Tucker conversion is causing this? If so can the conversion be undone by Leupold? Any thoughts.

Thanks,

Ed

Before you do anything else, send the scope to Cecil Tucker and have him replace the O-rings and check everything out. His cell phone is 432-553-4692.

It is most likely your rings and or bases. Tucker conversion is nothing but a nice spring against erector tube assembly. I have owned several and never found them to be anything but a help.

Have you tried another scope on the rifle? As Bill said holes in receiver are likely out of alignment.

Assuming this is the case Weaver bases and Bushnell Zee rings which offer offset inserts would be a good fix for you.
