Please does anyone have any experiences with trigger weight gauges?
I would like a simple gauge to check my target rifle 'on the range'.
Any thoughts please?
Thank you all

Support the rifle vertically.

Attach a plastic bag w/paper clip to the trigger.

Fill the bag with water till the lock fires.

Remove the bag/water/clip and weigh.

I used fishing weights, from 1 1/4 oz to 3 lbs, just hang'em on a rod and hang that from the trigger, place weights on floor & p/u rifle by the barrel, add or subtract weight until you get where you want to be,,,,,,,,

If you need to check the trigger pull weight for a certin weight lets say 2 pounds. Make your own out of wire and and weight made out of nuts and washers or even a Bull Durm sack with lead shot. Weight the lot on a "accurate" scale until you have 2 pounds or what ever.

At matches trigger pulls should be weighed/checked using certified weights and not any type of trigger pull scale.

I use the Lyman electronic gauge, and I have used the RCBS spring gauge. Both work fine for giving you an idea of where you are with trigger jobs. The Lyman is not "legal" for match work. It is very convenient in my shop, however, and a good bit easier to use than a spring gauge.
