Thrust Bearing

Where can I find a thin thrust bearing to put under the mariners wheel of my Sinclair front rest. Just trying to make things move smoother.

Dan Honert:)

Any local bearing house should have them, "Bearings, Inc." is a popular one. I ordered them and the hardened washers from MSC. www.mscdirect.com

Dan....What is the ID and OD that you would need? I have alot of thrust bearings out of automatic transmissions.

Bearing

I bought two from Ron Hoehn for $10 each. I got one for my Sinclair and one for my Hart. They are a nice upgrade. Just lift the windage/post and set it on the base. Then drop the top back on. :D Badlands

I tried Ron Hoehn, and he was out and didn't expect to carry them any longer since the new Hart rests come with a thrust bearing.

Can someone take my hand and lead me through to exactly what I'm looking for? I looked at MSC (?) and the choices were numerous. I have both an older Hart rest and a Sinclair....I believe both posts are 3/4". Thanks for the help.

You guys are tops.

One "help" and the Marines showed up.

Thanks for your input.

Dennis,
I lied to you in my previous post. That bearing was for something else.

This is the one I bought for the Cowen.....

But in any case, look at page 3767. You should be able to find one that will work.

Sorry 'bout that.

Dan....I didn't come up with any that size, most a 1" ID and larger.

I ordered a thrust bearing for my rest at O'Reilly auto parts. I think it was $12.00 or so. I had the bearing in hand the next day.
