Plan now for the Texas 4 Gun - last big match in North Texas this year. This is a 4 Gun, 200 yard, two day event. (The Rail is only 5 shots, so bag guns are not out of contention). Trophies for every gun, yardage and two, three and four guns......(There are some big trophies, not those little pieces of wood you stick in a box in the closet).

Plenty of parking north of the loading area with the club land purchase.

Lunch both days provided by our 4H ladies.

Great warm up match for the Nationals. Hope to see you there.

A big thanks to everyone who attended the Denton Four Gun. As always the temp was right at 100 Deg. and the mirage in the afternoon made for some very sporty shooting!

Texas 4 Gun at Denton,Tx . Some Pictures

The Texas 4 gun at Denton,Tx this past weekend included the Unlimited Rifle. Officially referred to as a "Rail Gun" These contraptions can only be used in Benchrest Competition. Except for maybe as an ammunition test platform in a Laboratory. Texas holds the distinction of being the State that has introduced some interesting "Rail Gun" designs. Attending a Match where "Rail Guns" are included is like attending an Arts and Crafts Show. The designs are limited only to the imagination and skill of the designer. Some of the Sports Veterans say that owning and shooting a rail gun Gun will greatly enhance your wind reading skills. I guess I need to start shopping for a "Rail Gun". I have included a few examples from this past weekend.

The Winners

RD Scott Hunter announced the winner of The Gulf Coast Regional Shooter of the Year Award. That award goes to Dr Tim Oltersdorf. The Trophy is the big wood plaque with the Bullet attached in the previous photo titled "The Trophies"

Congratulations to Dr Tim Oltersdorf. He shot good all year long. His blended concoctions are always welcome at the end of the match.
