TC Icon

I have 3 Icons. All were originally 308's. One, with wood stock is now a 260 Rem and one of the Weathershields is now a 6.5 X 47. All three shot sub MOA out of the box...with the one that is still 308 shooting closer to 1/2MOA. I use it to hunt deer and it performs well. The only complaint I have with the Hogue overmolded stocks is that they get scuffed when moving through bush. That doesn't seem to bother any animals. I hunt in temps down to -20C and the rifle is always reliable. I broke a piece out of the wood stock model when skim bedding the action...fessed up to TC that I was the cause of the problem....and they replaced it free of charge. Guess that's what their version of "lifetime warranty" means. Can't complain about that!
The rebarreled versions shoot about 1/2MOA without truing the actions.

I have owned 4 so far.

Unfortunately not because I wanted to. The first one came from the factory with some pretty bad pitting in the last inch of the barrel. It went back, the second one had a groove cut in the lands 1/8 of an in back from the crown it went back, the third one MORE pitting it went back.

As you can imagine at this point I was out of my freaking mind. 4 rifles and 6 months later all together the 4th one is in my gunsafe. It has a very small amount of pitting but not enough to go thru this crap again. It shoots under MOA and is an OK rifle.

I am pretty sure I am through with T/C
