Shippensburg PA 200, 300, & 500M shoot Sept. 24(results)

Shippensburg Fish and Game will be holding a 200m, followed by a 300m, and finishing at 500 meter benchrest shoot at scoring rings inside a groundhog outline this Saturday August 27. There will be a fun shoot and sight in on Thursday Sept. 22. We're normally done before noon.

You can shoot solo, work with a buddy, or we'll help you out. Relaxed atmosphere makes it ideal for new shooters. Factory or custom gun classes. Targets have sighter rings on them and you can shoot as many sighters as you like within the time frames. Half the take paid out in prize money. And we have stickers for top 3 finishers in each class! Hope to see ya there.

Gene's 138.1 set the Factory Class record.

Good shoot. 24 guns and lots of fun. Danny takes another turn on top. Devin got a good peek at what life will be like for him 50-60 years down the line as he enjoyed watching Bob Sheriff spot for Gene Failor at 500. Lots of gun problems. Gary Yeager and Brian paid the dearest. George Rills magic golden bullets won the day for him even after he let the scuttle butt about 500 meters being too far for old eyes push him to the Assisted Class. And George was the only one that didn’t have some unexplained trouble at 300.

We have one more shoot on October 22. Danny is rounding up a real nice list of prizes that we’ll post once the list is near complete. So come on out and give us a try.

A big thank you once again to the Curfman brothers, Marty and Gary, for their help. If you need any surveying in the south central PA area here’s an honest hard working man to call.

Hope to see all the old and some new faces next month.
