Refinishing the coating on an action

I have an RPA quadlite action which has never had a good finish. I would like to strip the finish off it and recoat it in a new DLC coating.

What is the best way to strip and prep this for coating, i.e. is there an acid I can dip this in to strip off everything internally?

Why not bead blast it off? You can mask anywhere you don't want blasted.

Your action will be either chrome plated or most likely Balinite C depending on vintage. Beads may or may not deal with it, you may need AO or similar.

Youll need aluminum oxide to prep for the new coating anyway
