Quality Scopes?

Allright guys, need some advice on some of the scopes on market now.
Looking for scopes under $1000.00
I know Nikon Monarch, Leupold VX-III, are great choices. wondering about some others like the sightron sIII's, meotopa? etc...
Looking for some knowledgeable advice, not just "i have one and it's great"
I guess, as good of quality as the VX-III's is the best way to describe it.
 
for shooting long range targets/game with say .300 wsm / .308

my frend for the mony you are spending leupold is the best thay all have issues but you cant go rong with a leupold that is just the way it is

If you are going to spend that kind of money on a scope, I would darn sure take a good look thru each and ever one. And if possible do a test of all the models you have in mind. All the test results and writers tests have nothing to do with what "your eyes see thru each scope". You just might be surprised. Get the one that your eyes see the target the best, regadless of the brand.
