Possible new record set today at the Mainville Mania in LV 100yd. Bill McIntyre shot a .041 group in LV 100yd this morning.:D Old record is a .051 hope the record holds up thru the records comittee scrutiny. Congratulations Bill great shooting you deserve it. In other news from Mainville Lester Bruno won the 100 yd LV this morning. Harley Baker won the HV 100yd this afternoon. Good shooting Lester & Harley. Didn't get the aggs or the other places. Setting flags and getting dinner seemed more important.:D

Hi,

I was using a Borden built 6PPC. The load was a relatively light one of 28 grains of N133 2009 lot and Frank Marks flat base bullets. The flags indicated a good condition to start shooting and I ran the five shots. I kept shooting and the hole didn't seem to get any bigger.

I would like to thank Bob and Edna White for running these matches at Mainville and the target crew for doing a great job!

Dana, thanks for the kind words! I guess all that practice in the Central Jersey Winter league paid off.

Congrats, Bill. Regardless whether it withstands the record committees scrutiny, it is still one great accomplishment. Any targets that are even deemed worthy to submitt are hard to come by.........jackie

I got the pleasure to look at that target and it is almost dead center of the moth ball. And on Sunday Jack Cox shot a real pretty lil .158 at 200yds. Another pretty lil group.

Congrats on your great shooting saturday..... couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
Just to let you know... I bumped into you a few times around the loading bench during the matches, and NOTHING rubbed off.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the congratulations. I think the person you needed to bump into was Mr. Harley Baker. Like Frosty the snowman, there must have been some magic in the old straw hat he found! (He surely didn't buy that hat did he???) There was some talk that if this match was held in Arizona, he might have been pulled over and questioned!

I do have to thank Harley and Joel. A few years ago at Kane they were shooting on the next relay and were watching me shoot. They asked if I could stay after the match and gave me a few pointers on how to shoot faster and where to place things on the bench. As I keep telling the folks who ask about benchrest shooters, I tell them they are the nicest and most helpful people you ever get a chance to meet!

Thanks again!

Bill

Congratulations = from all the members at your home range = Delaware County Field & Stream.
especially the BR shooters.
Hope to see you at the range. Bud

Congrats on the great group.
I dont mean to be ignorant but what Association was this shot under?

Is this an IBS shoot? Just wondering because the record I had found was 0.009 inches by Mac MacMillian in 9/23/1973.
Not trying to rain on the parade just trying to figure it out.
