"My Year in Photos" from Jim Borden

Dick Grosbier

Club Coordinator
I was inspired by another thread on this forum to post a link to a collection of photos by my friend HOF shooter Jim Borden. Jim has pretty much gone to hunting wildlife with a camera instead of a rifle. actually I am not sure but perhaps there are Photos from Joan as well in this collection at any rate both have developed into fantastic photographers.

Thanks for posting this Dick. Stunning pictures. I can only imagine the patience required to get some of the shots especially of the whitetails and Swamp Donkeys.....

Wow!

What a beautiful slide show. Many thanks to Jim and Joan Borden

and to Dick Grosbier for posting this. I'm in awe of such natural beauty and of those

who have the equipment, skill and patience to produce such spectacular photos.

Some stunning work in that, I can't imagine the patience needed for some of those shots.

The bird in image #23, there are some of those around here and I've tried to find it in an Audubon book but can't. Anyone know what that bird is?

Tom, I think it is a brown thrush.

Well I first thought it was a wood thrush, but I believe it is more likely that it is a brown thrasher.

Wonderful pictures. I wonder what lenses they use for the bird pictures. They are amazingly crisp.

Thanks

Thanks for posting the link.

I also thank all those that have commented on the pictures. I am glad that they have been enjoyed by others. Joan and I get great relaxation and joy going out and waiting and watching for birds and animals. It is much like hunting-sometimes you wait for hours and get nothing and other times you wait minutes and get rewarded with awesome opportunities-but either way it is time in nature with God's wonderful creatures. Joan never liked hunting-but now all I have to do is suggest that we go look for some deer or elk or moose and she is all dressed in camo and ready to go! Sometimes we may miss a shot because she giggles when they get close--those moments are wonderful memories!
