Since the demise of the VHA, what was the VHA Midwest Regional varmint match has continued to live on as the MWVMS Midwest Regional. The new MWVMS website went live this week. This is a group of avid VFS (varmint for score) shooters who attend specific varmint type matches in the Midwest region. No memberships necessary. 2017 marked the introduction of the MWVMS Shooter of the Year award. It was won this year by Ron Goodger ('Long Range' Goodger), dubbed the X-man by the group. Ron racked up an impressive (for these targets) 94 X's for the season. The second most was Dallas Walker with 56. See website for details.
