We shot for the first time the Don Judd Memorial Match. Don was a long time shooter who helped a lot of us to get started in BR. He always had a gun or rest or what ever you would need to shoot and was there to help you out. We will miss him in Minnesota.

Now on with the match report. The weekend was near perfit for shooting, the winds were lite all weekend and the temperature was in the mid 80s to low 90s.
After the match on Saturday Janet Moser put on a very nice BBQ for everyone. She had burgers and brats and all the trimmings. Thank you Janet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chris Harris was the guy to try to beat this weekend, he was shooting his own bullets for the first time and they shot very well.

We also shot the Battle of the States. We had teams from MN, Wis., IA, and ND. When the match was over on Saturday it was anyone's to win, it was to close to call. When we added it up after Sundays last match it was North Dakota wining the bragging rights for a year. It's going to be a long year for us with Chris rubbing it in already.

Jerry, it's always fun to shoot with you guys, especially when we aren't freezing our butts off like we do in April. Thanks to Scott Moser for organizing the event as well as lending Van a gun on day two after we figured out that he had problems with his Nesika bolt. Janet's BBQ was wonderful and added a lot of fun to the weekend. Thanks also to Dan and Jeanette for doing a great job with the scoring. You guys have a great club.

Jerry, thanks for posting the results and I echo Dave's thanks to Scott, you, Janet, Dan and Jeanette for the shoot you put on.

But equally important ....... The State of the Nation Trophy is back where it rightfully belongs ... North Dakota. It has been a long time but it will be even longer before it leaves our great state again. We have been playing 'Mr Nice Guy' in recent years so I expect you to step up your game (even though it will be in vain). Our training program for 2013 starts now.

Remember any state is welcome to submit a 4-Man (or woman) team. Once you visit our range in Minneapolis, Minnesota you will come back every year. We have a great range, very tricky, green grass, brand new club house and loading facility, 20 benches, well run and a slap up BBQ on Saturday night.

Do any of you local shooters have any good pictures of the facility?

This year is out of the cards but next year the intentions are to make a shoot or 2. It is time to try and get some of the US shooters coming back up to Selkirk.
