Minnetonka started the season with 21 shooters from Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota and Minnesota. Saturday we saw lite rain most of the day and cool temperatures with 10-15 mph winds. On Sunday we had on and off mist and cool temperature and 5-10 mph winds most of the day. This was the 1st. match with the new building done and is it ever nice. There are 2 electric heaters in the loading room so we could load in comfort.
The out of state shooters sure showed the locals how to shoot the range. If not for Scott Moser you would have though no one from Minnesota showed. A side note Scott had to leave match after the HV 200 for work that gave everyone a break as he was shooting very good.

We started off with LV 100 and Scott Moser winning with a .2348. In HV 100 Doc. Peterson won with.2378.
On Sunday in HV 200 it was Scott Moser again with a .2591. In the LV 200 it was Terry Hettich who showed everyone how to do it with a fine .1937 for the big win. The 2gun was won by the steady shooting of Chris Harris. Chris has started to make his own bullets and this is the 1st time he has shot them in a match, I think they are OK.

I got a couple of calls of congratulations (based on this post) of which I thank those people. They were also asking about my bullet. I think it is fair to point out that I did NOT use my bullet for most of the match. I was struggling with it a little. As Jerry mentioned, I have just started with bullet making and my first 3 test-batches were not the greatest. My batch 4 was a little better. I think I need to spend lots of time on my core seating and get that down. So any decent groups I shot were with the Hottenstein bullets (Lowell - the Zen Master of bullets).

I had lots of fun seeing everyone from the region. I was especially pleased to see my buddy Dave Gaboury shoot so well for his first BR shoot. You can't count last year as it was snowing and sleeting etc. But he shot well and I expect he will keep getting better.
 
Where is the nearest place to stay from the range? I am going to have to try and make the trex down of these days. There used to be a few from Manitoba who used to go down. Been a while so I figure I need to maybe start the trend again.

Our next match is scheduled for May 12th and 13th. We will be shooting 100 yards LV and HV on Sat. and 200 yards HV and LV on Sunday. We also shoot in June, July, Aug and Sept.

Below are hotels I would suggest, in order of preference. All are about 15 minutes from the range. The first 2 are closer to more restaurants.
