Again we were fortunate enough to have spectacular weather last weekend. Upper 70's with a slight breeze every so often. Conditions were close to perfect for precision shooting, as we had 6 Midwest Benchrest Range Records shot this weekend:
At 1000 Yards:
Jerry Hurt, TN LG Score - 49-2X (4.115")
Ron Boyd, IL HG Group - 5.645 (96-3X)
Joe Thielen, NE HG Score - 100-4X (5.819")
Ron Boyd, IL FACTORY Group - 4.176" (46)
At 600 Yards:
Ron Boyd, IL LG Group - .960" (44)
Walt Day, IN HG Score Agg. - 189 (2.675")
(Seems like I keep typing "Ron Boyd" a lot, just goes to show that the saying about "Nice guys finishing......", doesn't always "hold water".
I have attached the complete match results for your convenience, but I also wanted to mention that the website is up for Midwest Benchrest and can be accessed here: www.midwestbenchrest.com
There is more work left to do and this is in no way 100% complete, but there is general information, Match Results, Match Photos, Range Records, Season Aggregates, directions to the range, weather, etc. If any problems are discovered, please send me an email.
I'm looking forward to visiting with everyone at the Missouri State Matches on October 3 & 4. Maybe I can find a way to get in the game.
