I am trying to find a photo of a steady rest some one made from alum plate with a cat head or spider.

I don't think so here we can find any kind of photo of steady rest made of alum. You have to find it somewhere else.

On 4/ 10/ 11 posted the tool I made for putting a Sav. bolt head on a Rem. bolt. Is this the type of device you are looking for? I don't know how to tranfer this post to here, but is under centerfire benchrest.
