The IBS 100 -200 score nationals were shot this weekend at Fairfax rod and gun club. It was a beautiful weekend with cool mornings and pretty warm evenings. The conditions were challenging, especially on Sunday with a lot of gusts and switchy conditions. Lee Martin continued his hot shooting at 100 with a 250-24x score for the win, Kevin Roark was 2nd w 250-23x, Wayne France was 3rd w 250-20 x. Va. Boys did good!
Sunday conditions were tough, a lot of dropped points early and it continued all day with only 3 250s shot at 200. My friend and a new shooter Kevin Roark won with a 250-10x score for his first win( at the nationals of all places)Shannon Harvey was 2nd w/ 250-9×(another Va shooter)3rd was Mike Tunis w 250-7x.
Kevin also won the grand w 500-33x ,Mike Tunis was 2nd w 500-26×,Shannon Harvey was 3rd w 500-25× Lee Martin was 4th w499-31 and Jim Cline was 5th w 499-28×. Thanks to all the folks that ran the match and to all the shooters that came to shoot. As for Kevin,a lifetime achievement in his rookie season, what a start! Congrats my friend and all the others that shot well.
