Hornady Brass

I shot a lot of light magnums in 308 and saved the brass, after 10 years still works great, tight primer pockets and everything, haven't lost one case! Neck sizing only. Federal and Remington brass from the same era; long gone.

Hornady brass

DJ300AcK: using it in my 204. Seems very good, some have been loaded 10x & still no problems. Did have the "incipiant head case" seperation ring appear after 4 loadings on a group of 60, but has not happened since. Think it was my fault, since I remember setting the shoulders too far back, before I got the FL die properly adjusted.

I got a 1000 rounds of once-fired Hornady Match 308 brass. I think it is superior to Rem and Win brass. It doesn't match up with my Lapua, but I got the 1000 once-fired for about what I paid for a 100 new Lapua 308s. I think it is good stuff just a little softer than the European stuff.

I agree 100% with tiny68,

I like Federal brass far better than Winchester and Remington. It's not as good as Lapua, but it's the next best thing. Too bad Federal brass isn't more available to reloaders. I use it for .308 and 300 Win. Mag. when I can find it.
