Thanks for the results Scott.

I don't know where and the heck Holton is but if people are going to shoot like that I am going to stay away.

Well it sounds very scenic and adventurous. Sort of like one of those Boy Scout adventure novels such as "The, Boy Scouts on Sturgeon Island".
I can't wait to go there and get wipped, and then go out and do some canoe fishing.
Great shooting guys.

Winds Of Holton

With the way the wind is blowing in northern Michigan today I can't imagine what the shooters are going through over at Holton.
Good Luck To All

Chuck, It works, however I do see winds 19 mph gusting to 30 mph. Sounds like fun at Holton.

Saturday started out with heavy rain and the wind was blowing already at 4 in the morning. The rain pretty well stopped right after 9 am but threatened all morning off and on with conditions constantly changing as the morning progressed. The sun started coming out in the afternoon as did the mirage and things started to get progressively more challenging. As tough as it seemed, anyone who had his gun in tune and was patient enough could do well as every now and then things would lay down a bit.
There were several travelors that came from distant areas to shoot such as Kevin Hovis, Tony Boyer, Mike Ratigan, Larry Scharnhorst, Larry Costa, Wayne Campbell, Bill Brawand, Harley Baker and others that I didn't get names down in my limited memory as well as about a dozen of the Canadians also showed up.
I seen one tuner which looked like a Begg's and I think it was on L. Scharnhorst's rifle. There may have been others but I didn't see them.
I personally did the worst I have in a while, I had switched to another barrel and it turned into a poor choice and I couldn't get it to tune to the point I trusted it for anything.
Congatulation Hobie and Wayne, you did oustanding!

Just got a quick word from Kroop: Wayne Campbell won the 2-gun, Lowell Hottenstein was second and Larry Costa was third. Conditions were extremely challenging. Switching hard winds.

There were 72 shooters.

Congratulations gentlemen!

Wayne, Lowell, and Larry, congratulations on your success for World team points in some challenging conditions. It sure was windy on Sunday.

It's looking like Lowell may end up getting drafted into going...
