Hijacking a forum

G'day
It seems to me a couple of people have Hijacked this forum ,and are taking it in a direction that is negative not positive.My leaving will not course anyone to cry themselves to sleep tonight, but maybe I will sleep better knowing that I am no longer reading, and therefore feeding their ego's.

I know the feeling but I wish you would reconsider. That's exactly what they want, to be be able to control the forum with their ramblings that means absolutely nothing.
 
I agree...When I want entertainment, I read this forum.. When I want, good, solid information, I read Rimfire Accuracy Forum..

This forum is like most internet sources of information - it's the nature of the beast. And it's a lot like going to the Crater of Diamonds. There are real gems of info to be found on most of the forums, but you still have to wade through a good bit of muck to find them. It helps to do your own homework so you will be able to tell the gems from the more plentiful ordinary rocks.
 
wasn't always this way. there was a time when almost none of this stuff went on. it was packed with great info and people didn't seem to feel the need to bash each other over and over and over. it seems to have taken on a life of its own. i'v got a feeling these guys are all nice guys and have just gotton caught up in these personel attacks. it's easy to say things online that you might not say in person out of simple respect.

hopefully it will go away with time. then it can be the great forum it was.

I'm not so sure about that...I still remember some of the Lynn vs Dan Hackett tirades pertaining to using molly, and that's been quite a while back.

I don't think Dan ever posted on this forum? I think he stuck to the centerfire/1000 yard sections or the now extinct thanks to him Xtremeaccuracy.com forum?
He even tried suing me once and was very unsuccessful at that as well.Wish he was still around to fill you in on all of the details of that one but unfortunately he has long since passed away.
On the Xtremeaccuracy forum he got in a tussle with the wrong computor(notice the sp) person and the forum got hacked so hard it had to eventually close down.
