Gun Slick Bore Foam Cleaner

I had seen several ads for Gun Slick's new bore foaming cleaner and finally got around to buying some. The ads talk like all you do is squirt it down the barrel and wait 20 minutes and patch out all the firing residue. Well, as with my last ex wife, reality was different from the promises. First of all, the darn stuff clots up so fast that I never could get it to make it to the end of the barrel before hardening up and forcing the excess to squirt back up into the receiver leaving a oily mess in the receiver and on my stocks. I finally got one done by squirting it in both ends and I let it set for about half an hour. Lots of copper and other gunk did come out but it sure wasn't clean and I resorted to several patches with Butch's Bore Shine to get it clean. I really wanted this stuff to work as I am very lazy and detest bore cleaning. Has anybody had experience with this foam?

ive been using the gunslik foaming bore cleaner for about 3 years, it works great. if you fail to get the nozzle hose all the way into the chamber, it will blast back into the reciever. have used it on short stubby barrel's , on up to 29" long barrels and it will easily get through the barrel all the way from one end.

I also have used it for at least 3 yrs. I love the stuff. I run a couple of patches of any other cleaner throught the barrel first and then foam my barrel with the gunslick, and walk away for at least a couple of hours if not overnight. on a good barrel the most I have had to do is repeat and let sit overnight. You just need more practice don't be discouraged
