Glueing a scope base

My one piece scope base worked loose last year,i even thread locked the the screws.I had idea about glueing the base on my remmy 700 action, but this may be a bad idea if i get the rifle rebarrel and blueprinted in the future.
I guy at my club told me that he shot a whole season with a loose base, before realising .
So is there a special glue you can buy that you can neutralise easily,or it not too permanent.
Thanks.

I use JB Weld Quick Formula. A quick rap with a deadblow hammer is generally enough to break it loose. If you get a stubborn one a quick blast from a heat gun will free it up. Just make sure to use release agent on your base screws and keep the epoxy out of the holes. After it sets up, remove one screw at a time, degrease and apply thread locker.

Plain old 5 minute epoxy works great. Any brand will do. Comes off with just a bit of heat, maybe 200 degrees or so.
