Fred Sinclair has passed away.

Sad news. I would get random emails from Fred when he was looking for something old school. I guess I fit that category now. He was one of the pioneers. Not many left. His kind will be missed.
 
Could someone please share his age and our Prayers go out to his Family and Friends.
Sadly it is getting to the point when someone's name is being mentioned it hasn't been the best of news.
 
A couple years ago I was researching Superior Rifle called Old Yeller 3rd and it was rumored to have been Fred's. I did not know him, but got a cryptic PM with an email address. It turned out to be Fred answering my inquiry. He blessed me by being willing to email details of the rifle, and yes, it was his at one time. I was humbled he responded, and I have his his email in my records. We are certainly diminished. I am sad tonight to hear this bad news.
 
Sad news indeed. Didn't know him personally. His was a household name. This is a reminder that this day will come for all of us. May he rest in peace.

We lose yet another one. :( . Fred build my first two benchrest rifles in 1976. He helped me a lot to get started in this game. I remember Becky and him coming down to South Carolina to shoot with us (I lived in GA at the time). There even was a NBRSA "Sinclair Shoot" that Fletcher Williams put on in Camden, SC at the time.

The last time I saw him may have been 12 years ago, or so, at a Super Shoot. He was a fine gentleman and great gunsmith; he will be missed...

Another great loss to the benchrest community and to the world,. Fred Sinclair was a great guy, and friends to many.
( Ironic) I posted a picture of Fred on facebook a couple of weeks ago. The next day he sent me a thank you note via facebook messenger.
Fred will be greatly missed.
