FL Carbide die

A friend recently showed me a carbide full length resizing die for the 223rem cartridge. It had CRT Birmingham stamped on it. It had a decapping pin in it but no expander ball. The thread fitted my RCBS RC press. Does anyone know why a die like that would be made in carbide and who CRT is ?
Andy.

Dillon makes a carbide 223 die as well. Why? Easier sizing when running 1000's of brass through a progressive. Appeals mainly to the AR crowd. If you have a custom chamber or a bolt gun, go with a conventional die.

CRT = I don't know

I own a Dillon 223 Carbide die, and I am not a AR shooter - it is the finest made die I have ever owned. The insides have a mirror finish, and cases coming out of it look brand new. The insides have a mirror finish, and

I'd bet an outfit in Birmingham, England, made it. Looked at the Custom Reloading Tools site, and they have some nice stuff, but no carbide FL dies.

Their custom long bolt handles for CZ 527's look nice, but even loading well over manual max loads for my 527 .222 I can open the bolt with one finger.
