I want to thank all the Clubs who have started using the updated IR50/50 Scoring Program. ~
If all the clubs would start using Version 7 it would make my life a lot easier. I spent a lot of time making this version work seamlessly with Wilbur’s database.
It’s Lkup Table has 95% of the people who have shot in IR 50/50 & RBA this year.
This is important because the website requires a shooters name to be spelled exactly the same way for every match they shoot in or the lists will not be correct.
Let me use Louise Wickstrom as an example. Her name has been spelled 3 different ways:
Lou Wickstrom
Louis Wickstrom
Loius Wickstrom
The Database treats this as 3 different people. I usually do not find out about this mistake for weeks or even months. I then have open up a database that has over 10,000 records and manually correct all the Lou’s, Louis & Loius entries.
Since Louise is only one of about twenty names that are typically misspelled you will start to understand why it has taken me 2 months to clean up the database and an extra hour every time I do an update searching and correcting the new mistakes.

Even if you are not a match director why not learn how it works so the next time you are at a match you could help your match director by entering scores or maybe do the Award Print for your shooters.
