Blame US, blame conservatives....

IMO Obama was put back into office by those among us who voted for Ron Paul.

And those who "for moral reasons" chose not to vote at all.

Obama WON folks..... Liberals WON, they beat us like redheaded stepchildren......because we're idiots.

Again.

Of course my reference to "us" doesn't include those on this forum who openly support liberalism, you know who you are You've got more guns now than before.... LOL! :) So to all you Obama supporters who've gained from his presidency, congratulations. No, I'll never agree with you and no, I'll never call you "smart" nor am I agreeing that you're correct in your beliefs. I buy your stuff for you...But you DID win another round. We the producers have given you such a glorious lifestyle that you now outnumber us.

The children have voted...And will reap what they've sown.

And the Obama's get another 4 yrs on the best job they've ever and will ever have! Big step up for them.

Thank you Mitt Romney for acting as an adult, offering us your service for your country.

We let you down

Well said.........................Even in liberal Pa., in the small town my daughter lives in, flags are being flown at half mast. Goodbye USA.

Was watching some interesting exit polling last night. I was really surprised that Mitt won in some catagories like people over the age of 62. Some wasn't a surprise, like small business owners, etc. Even the hispanic vote wasn't what beat Mitt. It's really easy to see:

Obama rec'd 93% of the black vote. That my friends was the true deciding factor whether people want to admit it or not. Look at the demographis of the vote. Populated cities with high welfare is what Obama won, put two and two together from the last two elections and if a presidential canidate doesn't promise goverment help (entitlements), his chances of winning is almost zero.

I was watching MSNBC the other day and the statistics they showed over the last four years: 30% increase in welfare, 13% increase in homelessness, and 60+% increase in food stamps.

Folks, whether you like it or not, this is a downward spriral that will be next to impossible to fix.

2008-9 dejavu, thought i saw a flicker of the light of reason, but i was mistaken, just the flash of impending doom!

My occasional "waxing"...

Given that I'm not in the slightest articulate, I'll use the references....

Bob Dylan sang the truth with "The Times They Are A'Changing" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCWdCKPtnYE

While his words are perpetually true to a large extent, they don't have to be. We could stand in more hallways and block more halls.....and swim faster More importantly, our children do not have a guarantee of being beyond our command. Again, Dylan's words are perpetual as they have the basis of human nature and were written in a time equivalent to the worst. We allowed our youth to discover the power of the Constitution without affording them the purpose. Seemed innocuous at the time.

Perhaps the words of a more credible reference are in order. I don't think it's a more credible reference as I hold Dylan dear but I certainly hope Y'all do. While tough and time consuming to read, it's worth the effort. Please note the timestamp.

I should have, could have, and still have the opportunity to work against those that ARE working against my perception of "how it should be". It's never too late! Please, somebody (else) do something!!!

LOL!!!

OK, what Colchester's referring to is the fact that not only did our state vote overwhelmingly for Obama, we ALSO legalized "same sex marriage" so roomies can enjoy all the tax benefits of married couples, AND we legalized recreational marijuana.

Yep, you and your husband can now go down and buy pot at the corner market here in WA :)

dyuuuuude.... have a niiice day....

BTW.... anyone else here aware that The Wilbur was into waxing? Lotta' guys out here on The Left Coast do it but dang, Wilbur su'prised me. Cain't picture him all smooth and shiney... Times they ARE a'changin'

hmmmmm

And Wilbur, levity aside, THANK YOU for that document of our Founding Fathers. Epic, nearly biblical in it's verbiage. A US President wrote that.

I remember when Obama was elected the first time Sean Penn gushed "Oh, at last, we've managed to elect an elegant man as president!"

"We've come a long way baby"...... down

...look at the bright side at least now you can roll up a fat one and smoke your troubles away...
At the beginning of last month, I spent a week in Gunnison CO. I was utterly amazed at the number of people I met or did business with who were somewhere between mildly buzzed and completely stoned. The guy who worked the front desk at the hotel was *gone* and half the food delivery drivers were obviously well on their way. Various pedestrians had the look. I even spent a couple of hours doing laundry at the local coin-op washateria and got to hear a couple of folks older than me talking about the state of their crops...and they weren't talking about beans.

Glad to see CO actually put a law on the books...cuz it looks to me like the population was already there.

I come from Colorado that use to be a Republican State, but we now import our voting majority from anywhere far east or west and now south of the border. We just legalized pot. In my county SW Colorado every Republican was voted out of county commission and state legislature. This is not the state that I grew up in or my pioneer relatives would be prod of. Everything I read says the minorities and kids younger than 25 control everything. And OH YES, us old white men no longer have a say in what is good for the country. Sorry boys were out.

M

We probably do have a say and I feel like we DID have a say....but one thing for sure....we haven't said it loud enough and with anywhere near the conviction required. We just sat around and let it happen. Now, we're gonna have to get tougher than if we'd taken care of it in the first place.

We've still got it pretty good but the "sky is falling".....

Ben Franklin said it years ago. I don't have the direct quote, but it goes something like this. "Democracy will end when the people learn that they can vote themselves money."

Venting one's spleen is good. However, the outcome will be the same four years from now unless there's a change in the demographic of Republican voters. Here are some clues:

Republican Party Brand Is in Tatters as the Changing Demographics Help President Obama Deliver a Romney Shellacking

Nov 7, 2012 by JANET SHAN

The finger-pointing in the Republican Party has started and it’s about to hit a fever pitch with President Obama’s shellacking of Mitt Romney at the polls. Let me reiterate, President Obama won 303 Electoral College votes to Mitt Romney’s 206. The president also edged out Romney in the popular vote — 50% to 48%. The message the Republican Party should take from this is that it’s time to kick the lunatics out of the party and stop allowing people like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter (who, by the way, accurately predicted Mitt Romney would lose), Donald Trump, John Sununu, Joe Arpaio, Bryan Fischer and other right wing extremists, to set the tone for their discourse. Mitt Romney allowed himself to be mired in the Republican race-baiting and extremism. In a word, positive is the new black. The beginning of a new era. Mr. Obama’s success speaks to the need for cooperation in Washington D.C. Trump tweeted that the “world is laughing at us.” Um, not really. It’s laughing at people like him for his idiocy.

To put it succinctly, the Republican Party is too old, too white, too male and too extremist.

Mitt Romney’s 1950s persona was a joke to the younger and more diverse American voters. The Republican Party is in dire straits.

GOP asks "why?" and "where do we go from here?"

CHARLES BABINGTON | November 7, 2012 05:44 PM EST |

WASHINGTON — Having

lost the popular vote in five of the last six presidential elections,

Republicans plunged Wednesday into an intense period of self-examination, blame-setting and testy debate over whether their party needs serious change or just some minor tweaks.
