Anyone know the thread pitch on Remington 700 short actions?? I read that the Hall B action is 1"X16 thread pitch. Also, do you know what the thread pitch is on a Farley action?? Thanks in advance ...LTC redfeather.

All Remington 721, 722, 660, 600, XP-100, Model 7, 700, and 40X all share the same 1.062 x 16 tpi.
All three of my Farleys have the same thread as the Remingtons........jackie

Many thanks for the info...I did a quick search here and found that the Remington was 1-1/16 X 16 TPI. Great info that the Farley is the same. I have read with much interest your 6mm and 6mmBR testing and great shooting ability. Please keep us posted because that info helps us with running ballistic data...and what works...and what does not work. Many thanks...LTC redfeather.

A word of note. All of my Farleys are at least 6 years old. Jim might have started putting a 18 tpi in the new Black Widow Actions. I don't own one, so I can't say........jackie

Jim went to 18 tpi on just a few Black Widow's then went back to the 16 tpi. He prefers 16 tpi over 18.
