The compressive strength is much higher than the steel (maybe double) but it is also harder to work with. If I remember correctly all strength properties of the titanium is higher than the steel. Even though they are both putty the titanium is a thicker viscosity and I think about half the pot life of the steel. It is hard to avoid voids. PITA factor for the titanium is high in my book. It works great when something needs building up but in my opinion it's not so great as a general bedding material.
