I have terminal cancer, just found out, and not a lot energy to post an add.

I got a lot of BR equipment, top of the line stuff, reamer, unfired barrel, brass, powder, gun, scopes. etc.

Even have some hand guns and rifles that got to go. Everything has to go.

Damn Dick, I'm real sad to hear about your condition. I really enjoyed shooting with you at SGVGC. I wish you the best & hope that there is chance for recovery or remission.....

Will keep you in our prayers.
Remember God loves you and will protect you on your march.

Very sorry to hear this.
I too would suggest you let a shooting buddy handle this as you really don't need the aggravation.

prayers sent Mr Richard

sorry to read of your condition :(

Dick,

Remember the good times shooting at San Gabriel, remember the trip to the BR school at Raton in 2004, remember our trip to the Phoenix Nationals, remember your friends and shooters are pulling for you. Don't give up.

Your friend indeed.

May God be with you all the way; I'll be praying for you. I don't know you from a bar of soap but after reading the replies to your post, the obvious respect of your friends, from a typical Australian point of view "hang in there mate!".

I'm sure that it's a shock to learn what you've learned. I've come close to death on at least two occasions and have pondered the subject quite a lot. I've come to this mindset: First, all of us are terminal but some just don't realize how close we are. You could very well outlive me and to the best of my knowledge, I am in fairly good health.

I wish we lived closer together because now is the time to sit with good friends and do as Augustus McRae said in 'Lonesome Dove', "talk philosophy." In fact, you could very well have an advantage over some. You have been forced to face your mortality while others go blissfully about their business and are suddenly cut down at some intersection by another driver who was not paying attention. Those have to face God just as they are at that moment. If you believe there is a God and He is as He claims to be, then you have time to put everything in order and make peace with Him. If, on the other hand, you are convinced there is no God then it doesn't matter. Just enjoy what's left of your life, do good to who you can and do ill to no man. Rest assured there are plenty on earth who will miss you. My number is 334-382-6898 if you have need of me.

Many thanks for your kind words and thoughts.

All of my equipment was sold today (Sun.) Tomorrow I am going to start spending the proceeds while I still can.

Mickey,
A most profound and meaningful post.

Thanks, Lou,

that's a matter I've given much though to and Scripture tells us that God wants all to come to repentance. We never know where a 'seed' will fall and take root but we can always be hopeful.

It's one of my hopes that the next year is the best of your life.....so far.
Blessings on you and yours.
