Congratulation to "Smiling Mike" Conry for being the cover guy on the June issue of Precision Rifleman. I urge all those who know Mike to comment to him on his photo and ask him to autograph their magazine covers. He will undoubtedly be thrilled to do so. As they say in deep East Texas: "He shur has a purdy mouth." Tim

Dr Tim's tribute song

No kidding doc, it couldn't happen to a better guy, Mike's the best and a damn fine shooter. And I think this is the perfect opportunity to let folks know about your band, Dr Tim and the Medicine Show. In fact your drummer leaked your next hit's lyrics and I have to share it in Mike's honor:

On the cover of the Rifleman by Dr Tim And The Medicine Show:

Well I'm a Benchrest shooter
I got a golden finger
And I shoot everywhere I go (that sounds like me)
I shoot for the glory and I shoot for the fun
At 600 dollars of dough (right)
I shoot into hills to give me all kind of thrills
But the thrill I've never known
Is the thrill that'll gitcha when you get your picture
On the cover of the Ri-fle-man

Want to see my picture on the cover
Wanna buy five copies for my mother (and my 'smith!)
Wanna see my smilin' face
On the cover of the Ri-fle-man (that's a very good idea)

I got a freaky ole buddy name a Falstaff Freddy
Who cleans my barrels for beer
I got my poor ole grey hair lady
Drivin' my suburban
Now it's all a scheme to make me dream
But my dream won't really be known
Like the dream that'll gitcha when you get your picture
On the cover of the Ri-fle-man

Want to see my picture on the cover
Wanna buy five copies for my mother
Wanna see my smilin' face
On the cover of the Ri-fle-man
(talking) Hey, I know how ..... Win 'em all!

Ah, that's beautiful
I got a lot of little boxes of hollow point bullets
And man, they shoot OK
I got a genuine Michigan gunsmith
Who's teaching me a better way
I've got all the scopes that money can buy
So I can see all across the land
And I just cleaned my dentures but I can't get my pictures
On the cover of the Ri-fle-man

Want to see my picture on the cover
Wanna buy five copies for my mother
Wanna see my smilin' face
On the cover of the Ri-fle-man
On the cover of the Ri-fle

Gonna see my picture on the cover
Gonna buy five copies for my mother (wa wa)
Gonna see my smilin' face
On the cover of the Ri-fle-man
On the cover of the Rifle

Gonna see my picture on the cover
(talking) I don't know why I ain't on the cover, baby
Gonna buy five copies for my mother
(talking) I smell better than bore shine
Want to see my smilin' face
(talking) I ain't kiddin', and I'm prettier than Coots
On the cover of the Rollin' Stone
(talking) Fresh shot, holding up a screamer, man
I can see it now, I'd be up in the front
Smilin, man
Ah, beautiful...
