Can someone tell me what I could expect to pay to have a Rem 700 SA
re-barreled.
I plan to purchase a new barrel threaded and chambered, I just need someone to install it and was wondering (about) how much $

Also would appreciate a recommendation on a stainless barrel, best barrel for the busks.

If it is just a standard, non-fluted, no sights and just needs headspacing, it would depend on if it was short or long chambered. A short chambered one would run about $120 and Long chambered about $105. Add some return shipping and insurance to that.
 
Barrel

It will be a .223 and the brl will be heavy barrel for BR about 21" I think.
All still on the drawing board right now. I have a Rem VLS that I want to turn into a bench gun and trying to figure out the cost.

I believe it would be more economical and come closer to what you want by buying a blank and letting the smith do all the work.
