Copper primers

I just rebarreled a 722 action in 222 Rem and came across these in my cabinet while hunting for some brass.
It looks like factory loaded Remington with copper colored primers. Anyone ever seen these before. The rifle belonged to my Dad's hunting & shooting buddy until he passed and was bought in 1952. I'm thinking this ammo was about the same time frame.

tula /wolf were available as their "std" sr primer with copper cups. you could duplicate those rounds

I didn't know "copper" primers were a thing.....

I thought all primer cups were copper, just that some are coated, electroplated or something.

I keep notes and between the outside of the cup and the priming compound and anvil I have many color combinations (It's handy when you have 20 priming tools....) and at least three brands are in their native copper color on outside of primer cup.
