wanting to get started in the long range world and looking for a good entry level rifle that will shoot a .3 and is still affordable approx 1500-2000 before glass. anyone have experience with cooper model 22? i know they are guaranteed to shoot sub .5 out of the box, could i get .25/.3(is this good enough?) or better with handloads? (i'm leaning toward the 6.5 creed, mostly because factory ammo availability through hornady, and the barrel life over the 6.5x284.)
input on rifle and caliber appreciated. cooper also makes 6br 6.5x55 6x47 6x45 6.5x284 6x284 6 rem and 308
or if i'm off my rocker to try shooting long range without a custom rifle you can tell me. i'm here to learn so gimme your best. or worst
