Let's see, how many cool things can I think of from the Cactus, besides the chance to escape reality for a week and go play in the desert with a lot of old and new friends?
stocked coolers
water trucks to keep the dust down
high tech porta potties that look like they came out of a Terminator movie
t shirt proceeds that go back to the shooters in a raffle at the award ceremony
hustling up a lot of cash sponsors for various matches
the Nightforce guys with scopes on a stand you can look at all weekend
free range practice days with an RO all week
posting of results pronto and in several locations
professional tents put up all over for additional cover
decent bbq lunch available
No rattlesnakes (this year), lots of balloons up in the am, and the mounted cowboys and cowgirls shooting in the neighboring arena is always a hoot. We even got about any condition you wanted to shoot in, left to right, right to left, and numerous combinations thereof.
