budget f class scope

Is there realy a decent f class scope for a budget? I know Nightforce rules and March is strong but honestly I can't drop that much and literally have everything else.

I am dragging out a Weaver T36 this year for F/open. I think a variable would be better, but I don't have one that goes that high. I will shoot my first 600 yd FT/R match with a 16x fixed Mil-Dot. Bring what you got and start having fun. If you enjoy it enough you will some how justify the scope you think you need.... Tim

FWIW, a friend put together a BR rifle. Only prob was he ran out of money before he got to the scope. He shot a season with a 36x BSA. He said he only had two problems with the scope. The cross hairs were too thick and at each match he had to listen to a parade of folks telling him what a POS his scope was.

Well operator1 I hope you are right cause I just picked pickup a Sightron S111 8-32x50LRD. I got a deal I just could not passup, actually cheaper than the used scopes I was looking at, its last years model new in the box.

If a variable scope up to 24 power is enough take a look at the Vortex PST scopes. They come in FFP & SFP in MOA or Mil with the turret clicks for elevation + windage and the reticles have hash marks which are in MOA or Mils. You can also get a Custom Turret from Vortex in MOA or Mils. They have a 30mm tube. The price for the 6-24x50mm FFP are $899 and the custom turrets are $115? The repeatability of the clicks of the turrets are spot on. Oh, the FFP scopes have a very good illumination system also. The thickness of the reticle will allow you to hold inside a 22 cal bullet hole at 100 yds. The warranty is for ever and it is transferable without a sales receipt.

I have one in MOA and everything is exactly as I stated.

PS: I forgot to mention that they have a zero stop also. :)

Weaver T-36 is pretty good bang for the buck. Mirage can be a problem because it is fixed power. That being said I have been pretty competative with mine for the last 2 years.
