Sunday July 24th Wallkill Rod & Gun Club held both a three Gun & an Unlimited Ir 50/50 match. Ken Henderson and Bob Barnhart both came to Wallkill for thier first time. Hope both had a good time and come back to shoot with us again. They are both a pleasure to shoot with and be around. Also Steve Orlando drove up from Long Island for his first IR 50/50 shoot. In the three gun Mel Eck showed us all how its done, by shooting a 749-53X to place first. Nice shooting Mel, and thanks for all the help. Mel scored the targets and there were zero protests. Then we shot the unlimited. Bob Barnhart led the way with a 750-60X. Great shooting Bob. Congratulations. It is a pleasure to shoot with you. Please come back again. Thanks everyone for all the help with the match.

Yessir, Bob Barnhart really had quite the performance. There wasn't much wind but the sun was popping in and out and most of us were struggling with lots of vertical. But Bob and Mel had it figured. Great shooting!!!! It was a pleasure to meet Bob and Steve. A couple of nice guys.

Bob,

Enjoyed shooting at Wallkill, thanks for the hospitality. Was looking forward to meeting and shooting with Mr. Barnhart after his display at Salem last week. Gonna have to rethink the wisdom of that, shooting with him in the future, he seldom misses the X and never the ten ring!

Also good to meet Dennis and Steve.

I hope Bob stays up there a while. We don't miss him down here at our shoots.

Yes, it was my first match and I hope to attend more. Although I placed last in all but one of my five targets, They were high scores for me. I also enjoyed meeting and getting advice from the other guys. I agree in that there wasn't much wind, but the last relay the wind really wreaked havoc. Although I did a pretty good job reading the wind, in the last relay, depending on what flag I looked at, I got confusing wind direction and messed up some shots.

Hope to be there next month!

By the way, J. Pappas are you located in TX? I found your website and I'm interested in one of your rests. The shooter next to me had one, and I liked it. I have a fiberglass stock.
